Start here when there is no internet, and follow the branch that matches what the app says.

Overview

Work out which of these you are dealing with before you start pulling cables.

Situation Go to
It has never worked, this is a new install Initial setup
It worked yesterday and does not now Suddenly offline
WiFi works, ethernet does not Ethernet

The first two things to check

Connect to the Starlink WiFi and open the app. Alerts on the home screen name the actual fault, and working from an alert is much faster than guessing. See App alerts.

If the app shows a cloud icon next to the network name at the top left, tap the network name and choose Local, so the app talks to your router directly rather than through the internet.

If you cannot reach the Starlink WiFi at all, go to Suddenly offline and start with the power cycle.

A note on third-party routers

Most of this guidance assumes you are using the Starlink router. Third-party routers and networking equipment can block the app from reaching the Starlink hardware, which produces symptoms that look like a dish fault and are not. If you have one in the path, take it out before troubleshooting.
