Slave Router

Pick the second MikroTik that will act as the access point.

Overview

This sub-step only appears in Advanced Mode when you selected Router + Access Point Mode. It is the same router picker as the Router Model step, used a second time to identify the downstream device that will act as the access point. The router you chose earlier stays the master; the one you choose here is the slave.

The choice matters for the next two sub-steps. The wizard checks whether both devices have Wi-Fi before it lets you build a wireless trunk between them, and the interface lists offered on Router + Access Point Interface come from the two models you have now selected.

Before you start

Have the second device’s exact model name to hand.
The wizard can generate configurations for more than one slave router; each gets its own downloadable script on Show Config.
