Overview

Nasnet Connect runs in your browser and produces a file. It does not connect to your router, so there is nothing to install and no address or password to type in. What it does need is answers, and most of the questions are about hardware and links that are already sitting in your home. Gathering those details before you start saves you jumping back and forth between the wizard and your router.

Before you start

  • A supported MikroTik router. The wizard ships with 17 models built in, grouped into families on the Router Model step. If yours is not listed, there is a custom router option where you describe the interfaces yourself.
  • Know which upstream links you have. The wizard asks whether you have a domestic link, a foreign link, or both. This one answer changes which steps appear later.
  • Know which physical port each link is on. On the WAN step you pick the interface for each link by name, whether an Ethernet port, an SFP port, a wireless interface or an LTE modem.
  • Credentials for anything that needs them. PPPoE username and password if your ISP uses PPPoE, the APN if you are using an LTE link, the SSID and password if a link arrives over Wi-Fi.
  • Your VPN provider’s configuration file, if you want the router itself to dial a VPN. The wizard accepts WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP, SSTP and IKEv2, and lets you upload or paste the provider’s config.
  • A backup of your current router configuration. The generated script is a full configuration, not a patch. Take a backup before you apply anything.

Steps

  1. Open the wizard at connect.starlink4iran.com.
  2. Read Easy mode vs Advanced mode and decide which one you want before you click anything.
  3. Work through the five steps in order, namely Choose, WAN, LAN, Extra Config, Show Config. The stepper across the top lets you jump back to a finished step at any time.
  4. On Show Config, download the .rsc file.
  5. Back up the router, then apply the script. See Applying the config to your router.
