Overview

Choose is the first of the wizard’s top-level steps, and everything that follows is shaped by it. The app describes it as “Router Selection & Configuration Mode”. You tell it how much control you want, which upstream links you have, and exactly which MikroTik model is on your desk. The answers here decide which sub-steps appear in WAN, LAN and Extra Config, so it is worth getting them right the first time rather than backtracking.

Choose has its own vertical stepper on the left. Its sub-steps appear and disappear depending on your answers.

Before you start

  • Know whether you have a domestic link, a foreign link, or both.
  • Know your exact router model, because port counts and wireless capability differ between models and the generated script is built around them.
  • Decide between Easy and Advanced first; see Easy mode vs Advanced mode.

Steps

  1. Setup Mode. Pick Easy or Advanced.
  2. WAN Link Type. Domestic only, foreign only, or both.
  3. Router Model. Pick your device, or define a custom one.
  4. Router Mode. Advanced Mode only. Single router, or router plus access point.
  5. Slave Router, Interface Type and Router + Access Point Interface, only if you picked Router + Access Point Mode.
