Reboot & Update
Timezone, and schedules for automatic reboots, updates and IP list refreshes.
Overview
The screen is titled System Management, described as “Configure system timezone and automation”. Three cards sit under a timezone picker, each one a recurring task the router will run on its own: an automatic reboot, an automatic update, and a refresh of the IP address lists that the routing rules depend on.
The IP address list refresh is the one that matters most for this project. The split-routing setup works by matching destination addresses against lists of domestic ranges, and those lists go stale. IP Address List Updates, described as “Automatic IP address list synchronization”, keeps them current.
In Easy Mode this screen is not shown; the wizard sets the timezone to
Asia/Tehran and schedules a daily IP address list update at 03:00.
Before you start
- Pick times when nobody is using the network. The screen’s Important Notice says: “Internet connectivity may be temporarily interrupted during scheduled reboot, update, and IP address list synchronization times. Please plan accordingly.”
- Any two scheduled tasks must be at least 15 minutes apart, or the screen refuses to save.
Steps
- Search for your city or timezone in the Timezone field.
- Set the Reboot frequency and time on the Automatic Reboot card, or leave it off.
- Set the Update frequency and time on the Automatic Updates card.
- Set the IP Address Update frequency and time.
- Click Save.

Troubleshooting
“Validation Error — Reboot and Update must be at least 15 minutes apart.” Two scheduled tasks are set too close together. Move one of them.
