The last step, where you download the RouterOS script the wizard generated from your answers.

Overview

Show Config is where the wizard hands back its work. Everything you answered is compiled into a single RouterOS script and offered as a .rsc file. The screen greets you with Configuration Ready!, the message “Your router configuration has been generated successfully”, and a download button.

If you configured a router plus one or more access points, you get a separate download per device: the master router’s configuration first, then one card per slave router, each headed with that router’s model.

Below the download you will find the RouterOS Configuration Guide, an animated walkthrough of applying the script from the RouterOS terminal, which opens fullscreen; and a Documentation & Resources section with a FAQ and links to the project’s Telegram group.

Before you start

  • Back up your current router configuration before you go anywhere near this file. The generated script is a full configuration, not a patch.
  • The app’s safety advice: “Always backup your current configuration before applying changes. Test the configuration on a non-production device first. Keep physical access to reset the router if needed.”

Steps

  1. Click Download Configuration (in Advanced Mode the button reads Download .rsc). The file is saved as router_config_<timestamp>.rsc.
  2. If you have slave routers, download each one’s configuration too. Those files are named slave_router_<model>_<n>_config_<timestamp>.rsc.
  3. Read the generated script if you want to check it. The app recommends verifying “network segments, routing rules, firewall policies, and service configurations.”
  4. Watch the Visual Guide animation if you have not applied a RouterOS script before.
  5. Follow Applying the config to your router.
