Xray Core

Upload, cache and deploy the Xray-core binary the panel runs.

Overview

The panel does not just configure Xray, it owns the binary. Xray Core is where you upload a custom xray-core build, keep a cache of versions, and deploy one of them to the server. Use it to pin a known-good core, to move to a newer release, or to run a build with features the stock binary does not have.

Before you start

  • Have the xray binary itself ready to upload, because the page detects the architecture from the binary, so you do not select it.
  • Changing the deployed version restarts the core, which drops live connections. Do it in a quiet window.
  • The default version can also be set from xray_default_version in Settings → Agent.

Steps

  1. Open Server → Xray Core from the sidebar.
  2. Under Upload binary, drop the xray binary onto the target area or click to choose it.
  3. Give it a Version label, meaning a name you will recognise later, for example 1.260123.0-wg1.
  4. Upload. The new build appears in Cached versions with its detected architecture, size and checksum.
  5. Deploy the version you want from its row and confirm.
  6. Delete versions you no longer need. A version that is currently the default cannot be deleted, so change the default first.

Reference

Column What it shows
Version The version label you gave the build.
Arch Architecture detected from the uploaded binary.
Size Size of the binary.
Checksum Checksum of the uploaded file.
Actions Deploy, and delete.

Troubleshooting

Delete is disabled on a row. The tooltip says it: change the default version before deleting this one.
